Every time anyone in my home has a bow movement in our newly installed trovani toilet, it doesn't flush without needing a plunger. It does not have a large water tank and doesn't fill alot of water in the toilet either. I don't think it's the wax ring....Could it be just a cheap toilet? Any suggestions welcome.

The trap inside the toilet must be obstructed of some sort. This indicates that the toilet is cheap. The amount of water in the tank must be too low.
If the tank could be replaced, I would get a new one. Usually, the pipe below the flange is 3 inch or better, so that is not the problem. The other thing to check is the vent pipe: It could have obstruction or it is too far away from the flange. Good Luck.

Did you use a "plain" wax ring
or one with a black plastic ring in it?

Some toilet tanks have baffles in them so you can't get the benefit of more water coming down to flush with.
Can you adjust the toilet tank float to let the tank fill higher and does that help?
Not that this will do you any good because toilet tanks sold in the U.S. are limited to something like 1.3 gallons per flush. You could figure out how much water it takes to flush that toilet bowl by measuring off a quantity of water in a bucket at least 2-1/2 gallons in capacity. Conduct tests one at a time after each usage of the toilet.

try putting 2 gallons of water in a bucket and the next time instead of flushing dump the water from the bucket into the bowl and see if it flushes. If it does then the problem might be with the tank if it doesn't flush the problem is somewhere else. Might make sure your wax ring is on correctly sometimes in installation they tend to move and block your pipe. which is why i always put the wax ring on the bowl verses the flange when i install them.

This was the solution to my the poorly flushing contractor grade water saving toilets that were installed when the house was built.
I got the one piece (easy to clean), elongaged (comfy), and with the soft close seat/lid (just tab it start it to close and walk away).
Our Toto Drake will consume a live rabid badger and stare back at us with a "that all you got!?" look.

Before you go a "drop a a load" on a Toto, remove the throne and look up into the horn....here's my experience...
"Someone" in my house...dropped a deuce that somehow made it through the bowl trap but would not go through the outlet where the wax ring mounts. After fish'n for and catch'n the brown trout, it was HUGE, and HARD...good god it was disgusting. It has since flushed to make the Niagra Falls look like a stream. Now mind you that's no rabid badger...but pretty darn good!

This could simply be a defective product as the poster states "newly installed trovani toilet". Why not return it and try a new one. It only take 30 minutes or so to remove and replace a crapper and a new wax ring is only a couple of bucks.

If you're going to replace this unit with a fresh one, it would be worth knowing the flush rate before you go to all the effort. Apparently the new minimum standard for 1.6 litre is around 850 grams. Many older ones were around 300....
