I am highly intrigued by these. My go to has been diamond piers but at $250 each, they are just down right expensive.

These at $125 and probably less if I bid room them see like a possible solution. No mixing. I could just dig a 4ft deep trench along both of my deck beam lines, set and backfill, compacting as I go.

In my instance it'll be easier. I have 10 posts in a row that need to be installed. But they only have to go down about 14" as the ground is being raised around them 40".

Making them level would be the trick with those, but they look easy, 14" deep or below the top soil.

My plan would be to dig down the 14", then another 3-4" for crushed stone. Run the compactor on top. Use a transom to ensure level across the entire 42'. the set and back fill.

Going to do a full 42" footing and cinder block wall under the kitchen area. There will be like 10k pounds by the time I'm done. Never done block work but I'll see how it goes. Been looking at some of these mortarless systems but haven't found anything I like yet. It'll be 2x 16 ft sections then 2x 3ft sections. Then some of the deck joist can hang off of that also.

Support is all about footing size, does 42" get you to deck height or is there still post and beam or wall?

Going to do a full cinder block wall right up to a 2x14 band joist. Hang the 2x10 from the top for the main portion, then drop the 2x10 for kitchen area to the bottom of it. That will give me 5.5" to pour a concrete base, plywood bottom and tile on top to be even.

Then I will do a full stone veneer over the block work. Going to be some work but it'll be an awesome space.

This is where I'm at so far with a plan. Waiting on the final engineer specs and the architect should have my permit plans done by end of the week.

Yes these are on the more expensive side but benefit is I can set them all then backfill the area. Plus I don't have to mix/pour any crete. I have 12 footings to do, that would be close to 4k pounds of concrete to move.

Don't forget you'll need to excavate at least 18" around each pier so you can tamp your backfill...
