From the pic, it appears to be standard.
Has anyone seen this type of drop ceiling grid?!?!
Hi All- Has anyone seen this type of grid? Vinyl construction and its a u-channel on both sides with a snap in (up) separator between the tiles. I had to break a tile to get it out. I see no way to put a new tile back in due to the u-channel on 2 sides. Any ideas?

It is totally unlike my standard metal grid that I have in the other half of the basement. It is not an upsidedown "T" that the tile rests in. It is a u-track.

Does the bottom pull straight down like an upside down T

Yep here they are. So I think I figured it out. There is a top track that gets screwed into the joists. Then the tracks (both ways) clip up into the track. I think they used this so they didn't have to drop the ceiling any further (like standard grid is dropped) as the clearance is low. I think I found it online as well.

I have seen that but it has been a while. If I recall it is designed to fasten directly to the framing instead of hanging from wires. It allows maximum ceiling height in low headroom areas.
