With new codes can you still install a hardwired dishwasher?

Or does it have to have a cord and plug.

It can be hard wired.

It can be hardwired but requires a disconnect. This can be a switch at the counter, cord and receptacle or a breaker within 50 feet and in view.

I believe ground fault protection is also required.

A breaker lock at the panel will also satisfy as the disconnect.
