After years of being near three eucalyptus trees, there is a section of my walkway that has a major crack. I've filled it over the years, but I'm starting to get my head around the fact that I need to address the matter more comprehensively.

In digging down I can see only one layer of black plastic under the concrete. This clearly degraded in the section where the crack is, and no gravel of any kind was underneath to wick water away.

So, I was thinking about cutting the cracked section out and repouring, when I heard someone suggest mudjacking or slabjacking as an alternative.

I'm not sure I could do this myself and I wonder if it would just create a domino effect on other parts of the walkway that are still intact.

Anyone?

p.s. Two of the eucalyptus trees are gone now.
