Blessed day to everyone. Watching our church service online. Probably the first time I have not been in presence with the other church members in the building. Johnny Hart was a deep thinker.

We had a socially distant feast. The Boss made a turkey dinner and our son and his family came over. They ate on the back porch while we ate in the kitchen and we talked through the window. Their leftovers went home with them.

Yes, Happy Easter everyone! Our services are online too, and we have been doing okay with them, until today. Have only seen about the first 10 minutes so far because we're in the country, no cable or whatever, and our Dish connection isn't very speedy some days. We were only getting about 30 seconds or so at a time before it stalled so I finally told the wife we may as well wait until some of the clouds clear out. They're live streaming (?) the services from several locations, doing a great job, and also saving as a You Tube, so we should be able to pick it up sometime yet today or tomorrow. My wife sings in the choir, so rather disheartening for her I'm sure when it's just the two of us so not enough for my off key singing to blend in. Another thing I really miss is all the hugs and kisses from the church ladies as the wife calls them, but, given the circumstances, I guess that I may as well get used to that because there won't be any more close contact for a long time to come. GIGATT!

Jesus arose in the reign of Augustus. A time of centralized, for the state rule, if ever there was one.

I point to aspirations of the present. Aspirations, though.

And he did miracles. Not for Caesar, but for little people. He made the lame walk, the blind see, the deaf hear. Fed a multitude of individual hungry human beings.

So, is this a guy who'd burn someone alive at the stake?

Be careful , Dave . If you admit (correctly) that he rose from the dead , you would have to then ask how & why...…. :wink2:

I am unaware of Him ever being accused of that.....:vs_worry:

For the first time in my life I actually forgot Sunday was Easter. Painting interiors right now is a no go so I've been doing exterior painting if the weather cooperates. Anyway, I had a nice Saturday to paint some shutters for a client and told them I would be back on Sunday to finish. They gave me a quizzical look and said, "No, we don't want you painting here on Sunday." Why, I ask. "Because it's Easter, don't you want to be with your family?" I guess with the CV and trying to keep work going I completely forgot, I really did.
