I bought 6 halogen bulbs(12v 20w MR8) with sockets also I got 200 w transformer. I assembled it and it works but the light that is coming out of those bulbs is very weak. What's wrong? Please help

There's no switch whatsoever. Am I missing something? I bought bulbs sockets and transformer separately and put it all together.

Pull one of the bulbs and measure the voltage with the other lights working. You should have around 12Vac.

Unfortunately I don't have tools to do that.

When I connected transformer with lights in line with transformer first. The light behind transformer lighted up brightly but the rest of it went very weak.
Now I connected transformer in the middle of the line and all six bulbs are weak.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

What size wire are you using?

And...I'm assuming that if you unplug all but one bulb, the one bulb is fine?

I pulled all the bulbs but one and it's not working.
I must have wired it incorrectly.

Wires are thick so I don't think it's that.

I bet you wired them in series......

They should all be in parallel.

Yes I see my mistake now. I will google how to so it right. I'll post if I fixed it.

The fix is easy.....your wiring will basically look like a ladder.....in other words, you will have 3 wires connected on each side of the bulb...power coming in...one side of the bulb....power going out to the next bulb......only the last bulb will have 2 wires on each side.
