Hi- recently re-colored/ sealed the grout in my shower with Polyblend Grout Renew. I followed the instructions on the bottle and online and applied the paint to the grout with a small brush, wiped off excess, waited 72 hours before getting it wet, etc... Now the grout renew is just peeling off of the grout less than a week later. It is kindof peeling off in small chunks/ pieces. It isn't happening everywhere yet, but it's troublesome enough in a couple of places that I need help with a solution. Should I just try to remove it all? Is it possible to fix those spots and seal over the entire floor? Who do you experts recommend for sealing a shower floor? I am reading that the 511 impregnator is a solid choice. How do I solve this? Thanks!

Hi Alyssa,

Sounds like the grout had been sealed and/or the grout was not properly cleaned before applying the colorant. If you want to try touching it up, clean with the acidic cleaner they recommend, and try again.

511 Impregnator is my favorite sealer, but it won't help you now.
