Grounding & bonding gas piping

In the process of installing CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) with existing black steel natural gas piping. The CSST will be used for a retrofit, and will be connected between 2 black steel pipe connections. The black steel piping is bonded & grounded to the house ground wire (#6, to panel ground bus). Does the CSST also have to be grounded & bounded since it is connected to the black steel pipe that is already grounded? My town uses IFGC 2009, I've read it, but unsure on my specific situation.
