We have a washed out sandy stretch of land on our property behind our house that is the result of sandy soil washing out of golf course up the road. At least that’s my assumption. It is not a proper drainage channel or a ravine that fills when it rains or anything it’s just truly a strip where There is sand. But you can see that water does run across it because there is a mix of sand and darker soil

Is there any fast growing/spreading ground cover that would take root and grow in there? could even be a weedy grass or something. don't care. have tried "grow anywhere" type contractor seed and even added some soil amendment (peat and or compost)….no go...though its a hard area to keep seed in and keep wet

It’s part sun not full. Again, I have not witnessed water actively rushing through here after rain but Still would be interested in something that roots a little bit to keep that sand from washing down into my lawn or the plants just getting washed away. Any suggestions appreciated posting a photo or two
