Grohe shower head came off

Hello all!
I recently purchased as new home with a lovely shower.

While I was taking my 2nd shower, I noticed the water was drizzling again the wall. When I adjusted it, it came off in my hands and I was left with a hard flow from the pipe.

When I took it apart, I noticed the "O" ring was not fitting properly and I suppose there's a screw that holds it in.

I tried to get the "O" ring back in but it was impossible 'cause it was stretched out.

Can any of you confirm that sounds like what the problem is? When I was doing my research, I found the model number Grohe Movario.

Thanking you advance.

Shower heads come with tapered threads that match the tapered threads on the pipe coming out of the wall with no O ring needed.
Sure it's not the swivel part that broke off instead?
I've never seen a shower head that used a screw to hold it on.
Some bathtub faucet have screws.

Hi again:
The shower head came off when I adjusted it wondering why there was so much water running down the side of the wall instead of thru the shower head. Then I looked at the shower head and the swivel part came apart. That's when I noticed the "O" ring wasn't fitting properly.

It may well be the swivel part isn't working. How does it stay attached to the wall cylinder if not by a screw?

I am sorry I can't be more specific. I left the nozzle in the garage which is 150' away and since it's pouring, I don't want to go to get it.

Thanks for your time!
Let me see if I can pull up a PDF on that model---Grohe is a fancy and well made unit----

And a bit complicated---give me a few minutes----Mike----
I googled thar 'movario' it had many different shower heads as options---could you describe the one you have or post a picture?
Is it similar?
