I'm a young twenty one year old Carpenter / Joiner by trade. I've just gotten a flat that I'm going to renovate so... I may be in and out of here seeking advice and such like!
Welcome---We have a number of UK members here---your construction and electrical is a bit different than the US or Canada,so mention your location when asking for assistance----Mike----
I'm from a small city called Swindon. It's about an hours drive away from London! Well, I don't know a great deal about English electrics or construction because I learnt my trades in Sweden. Which is virtually the same as the US and Canada when it comes to timber houses. The electrics are also the same, virtually anyway. England and their three pin plugs... What were they thinking!?
First time I looked in at an English plug I was thinking... "What!?" Then I discovered that if you work on building sites you can't use normal 240volt appliances, you have to get 110v cables and plugs fitted to your tools... I now realise why English tradesman just get everything battery powered.
