I'm relatively new to this... I'm wondering when would be a good time in my area (near Baltimore, MD) to do the following things:
1) Reseed parts of my lawn that are bare;
2) Apply a crabgrass prevention product (preferably natural like corn meal gluten) to the areas where I know I had crabgrass issues last year (and I know I should not apply it where I reseed);
3) Apply a good fertilizer...
Is it too early this week-end to do #1 (reseed)? From what I'm seeing online it could be, but like I said I'm new to this so I'm not sure. I was told that for #2 a good time is when forsythias start to bloom. Is that accurate enough? Could anyone help me out please? I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
