I want to use glitter on my daughters ceiling. However, the color of glitter I want to use is just a craft glitter. Does anyone know if that is o.k. to use? Or do I have to use a ceiling glitter. Thanks:)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I used multi-colored glitter mixed into my paint for a textured wall and it went well. Very subtle little sparkles.
However, I used the same paint on a ceiling and cannot see one sparkle. I imagine I'd be able to see little sparkles a bit better if I had a lamp there.... hmmmm..... My advice to you would be roll the paint on thick, and use LARGE glitter flakes "tossed" or blown up onto the paint to be able to see them. Perhaps others here will have better ideas?

If you're going to paint the ceiling during this process, paint it first and let it dry. I'd apply the glitter to a clear poly. Mix the glitter in with the clear poly and just roll it on the ceiling. You can use a water based poly since it dries quickly and has a milder odor. Add coats as you need to get the coverage you want.
