Afternoon all!
I’m in the process of building a no power shed for the bike and a buddy gave me a bunch of glass block. Single slope roof gives me a perfect spot for them.
Researching installation seems to point to joint failure with mortar due to expansion/contraction. There was some flimsy metal track included, will it work without mortar, with silicone caulk for sealing all round? The block will be above the top plate, free of being bumped, banged etc. The shed will be faced with waferboard prior to siding, should the block be flush or proud of the waferboard?
Is this even a good idea?
Thanks

It's good to have light. Small shed could be less stable and see more movement so I would have a firm sill of 2x and sloped and use the channel and assemble the blocks with caulk/adhesive and later caulk the joints.

Something to compare. Something like above, rafters would be resting on a light beam and short studs would be also somewhat weight bearing.
