The unit is a JVM1950SR1SS manufactured Oct 2011

The door will no longer latch shut.

On the door there are 2 protruding plastic 'hooks' that are inserted into recesses in the body of the microwave near the control panel when the door closes. The hooks appear to be a single piece of plastic that is mounted inside the door panel. My guess is that there was a spring that held this assembly under tension downward so that when the door closes, the hooks 'catch' and hold it shut.

Seems like an east problem to fix; replace the misplaced or failed spring, but I cannot figure out how to disassemble the door...

I see only 1 screw in the door, and that looks like it will only disconnect the top of the exterior door handle.

Does anyone here have experience with this or similar designs? How is the door panel disassembled?

Thanks, easy job.

I didn't think of prying the door apart, figured I was missing some hidden connector...
