i am replacing a conderser fan motor. the old ge had three wires. black, yellow and brown. the new motor has four wires. black, white, brown and brown/white. the old motor was wired to a split capacitor, shared with the compressor. can i wire the new motor seperately to the new capacitor? or should i get a new split capacitor.

You can wire it separately to the new capacitor.

The brown and the brown with white stripe will go to the cap.
The black to where the old black was. The white to the opposite line of where the black connects.
