I want to purchase a gazebo from a department store like target or kmart the ones with the bug nets, and my backyard is grass. I need to know if it is able to be held down in grass/dirt and if it could is there specific tools or screws i need?:thumbsup:

Straight spikes will not hold unless you pin it at a steep angle. I would use re-bar bent into a cane shape. Make the long part of the cane about 24" and the short part long enough to get around the leg or what ever you are holding down and still go a few inches into the ground. Drive these in at a 45 degree angle so the tip of the cane goes under the gazebo toward the center.

thank you i will keep that in mind so now i can buy my gazebo next month..I didn't want to buy one and it didn't stand up properly in the grass when the wind blows or it rains...or the common people lean on it and if it's not secured it falls over like some scene out of AFHV. Thanks for the info.
