Gas oven issue

Girlfriends gas oven doesn't ignite very well I can hear the igniter clicking and the gas flowing but 2/3 of the time it will not ignite, even when hot it happens but not as often. I tried moving the igniter shield closer thinking maybe the spark is having trouble jumping the gap but that didn't seem to do any good.
Solutions??????
