My 12 year old gas burning hot water boiler every couple of days decides to shut down and in the morning when I need hot water for a shower I have to go down and hit the reset button. I am then fine until the next morning or two mornings, We have had repairman there three times and they cannot find anything besides replacing a fuse that was burnt and adjusting the temp down from 200 to 180 degrees. We had a new expansion tank put in 6 months ago. It is a Laars Mighty Term and connection piping is mostly copper.

It could be a high water temp. Limit causing this or any other safety devices that mabe installed on the unit.if you can catch it when the problem occurs you should be able to determine what's causing it.
