I have a high efficiency furnace, but it's not working. I thought the ignitor was bad so I bought and installed a brand new one. It still didn't work. I've tested it outside the furnace and it glowed so I know it isn't bad, but it won't light up when in the furnace. The fan starts, but the ignitor never glows. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions?

Are there any codes being thrown on the control board? Usually a furnace won't fire due to a pressure switch issue not closing and yours being a high efficiency it could be an intake or exhaust pipe or a pressure switch.

Check for codes, the led light will blink.

The LED shows two quick flashes and a long one. But I don't know what that code means, and there is no sticker on the inside of the door that tells me what the different LED codes mean. I also don't have the manual.

Post make, model and serial number. Someone may be able to find the manual.

There should be a sticker somewhere on the furnace, usually on the inside of the doors, that explains exactly what that code means. It is a hard sticker to remove, there would be evidence of someone peeling it off it it's not there.

Does it look exactly like that? Does it have the Payne brand name name plate (or any name) on it? If that is the exact same than that is not high efficiency, it's an 80% single stage regular gas furnace.

Is this a stolen furnace?

How do I know if it was a stolen furnace? It was here when I moved in. The outside of it says "High efficiency - Day & Night," but I looked up that kind of furnace and it isn't the same. I think it might be a FrankenFurnace.

Isn't code 21, when the furnace is turned back on while it has a heat call, the fan runs for 90 seconds before it will go back to normal operation.
