Hey guys I have a question. I am working on a house that had a wood burning stove in the basement and there is an 8" pipe that enters into the house and goes up through the chimney. Can I utilize this same pipe with a gas fireplace insert or do I need to come up with something totally different. If I could utilize this pipe that would be super quick and easy. Thanks

Most likely not. The thing that I hated about installing fireplaces is that they all vent differently, but this may play in your favour as there are so many different potions to choose from, so you can shop around for what will work best for your particular application.
