We have a gas fireplace with a Proflame 1 system. It didn't fire-up this winter so I replaced the remote control batteries.
The system came with the house so I was not aware that the receiver unit also used batteries. I went to replace the batteries and found a bit of corrosion on the battery connections.
I took it the receiver out, cleaned the battery connections and sprayed some contact cleaner on the PC board.
I put the receiver back in. It works in the "on" position but not in the "auto" position. I think there is suppose to be a series of beeps when the batteries are replaced-but I heard nothing.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
