Garage Wall texturing

1389 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  joecaption
Just completed drywall, tape and mudding 18 x 30 shop in a 30 x 40 shop/garage combo. Weather here is snowy and cold and the mudding and taping and coat of primer has been a long process due to the amount of moisture and getting the rooms to dry out. Now we are at the step as to whether to texture the walls to hide inperfections or leave smooth and hope for the best that there aren't a bunch of eye catching inperfections. Want the mancave to be a good show.

with the way the mud cured and the temps, I would worry about cracking later on, rather than covering imperfections with texture.. Just sayn', tryin to fix walls with texture on them and trying to match the texture back up later on.....I would not texture them.
take a light around with you once you think you got it right. Just keep working until it is right.
