So, I am thinking of redoing the exit door on the back of our garage. The need is that I wanted to have a larger door in the back for moving items to the back yard easily (lawnmower, snowblower, etc.). Currently, it is an old wooden 32" door with a single pane of glass. At first I was going to leave the door and install a 5' garage door. But now I am thinking of either installing a 3' door, or installing a 32" double door (2, 32" double doors).

The problem I have is that I can not find a double door (think of french door with both sides operable).

Anyone have any ideas?

You can order these through any door supplier. If you can make the opening wider, a 3' double french door is easily available at most home centers. On most french doors, one side is considered the primary operating door.

I have a double french door on my garage. Bought it from Home Depot a few years ago for about $400 if I recall correctly. One side opens with the knob set, the other opens after retracting pins at the top and bottom. Functional and looks nice.

I like it

I do like the idea of the French Door for the garage, but I do not want all the glass. I am looking for something that is more like half glass half steel.

Going to keep looking looking though.

Thanks.

Just go to a lumber yard (not a box store) and you can order a double door with any panel style you want.
