We have a Genie Excellerator screw drive opener. One of them is not working. The repairman said these are not good items. He recommends Listmaster.

Is this true? Or is he just trying to sell me something? I had heard that screw drive is better; chains and belts stretch. Is that true?

I have been using Genie openers for years, with few problems. The Excelerator has an excellent warranty, but like everything manmade is likely to have problems from time to time. What is the opener doing, or not doing???
