I have a 1/2" gap between my fiberglass shower stall and tub. This gap is located at the back corner and on the bottom where they meet. I tried caulking thats mold resistant but water still gets in. I need some info for the gaps and the larger corner gap. Could I use some type of fiberglass filler to start and then caulk?

Can you provide a photograph?

I can tell you that re-caulking something like that can be problematic. The joint must be totally dry. I mean TOTALLY dry. Even if you think it is dry it may still hold some moisture. Use a hair dryer and dry the joint, THEN caulk it.:)

If the gap is in fact as big as 1/2" then first stuff some foam backer rod in the joint and caulk over the backer rod.

I don't know of any type of Fiberglas filler that would be suitable for this application.

How about a picture? I may change my mind after seeing one.:)
