[DCS79]

A series of gaps between my timberframes and dry have formed from the timbers shrinking over time i guess, they are between 1/4 to 1/2 wide .
Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this issue?
Anyhelp greatly appreciated

Nail molding the the timber frame to cover the gap, which will open and close with different seasons. Do not attach to the drywall.

Thank you for the response , its a great solution and if it was a little area to cover but in this case it would be to much molding as it is a old style timber frame home. I want to fill the gaps with a some sort of compound but dont want a cracking problem in the future know what i mean?.

What size is the gap? You can't fill it completely if it is expanding and contracting, since when it contracts it will force out the filling materials.

Thats what i was affraid of, the gaps are between 1/8 to 1/2 inch.
Started to think more about your suggestion and put cove moulding up.
