I think that recessed cans would be a better choice if you have the access to get them in. Probably 8-12 would do you fine. They would have less of a chance of getting hit by anything than a strip light would.
Only you can decide what you like. Check out some other game rooms. You may want a pool table light for sure. It lights the table like its supposed to, and they come in many variations. I would put up some neon beer signs. Thats just me though. The ceiling is low so the recessed fixtures as mentioned above should be considered. I think game rooms should be on the dark side so go easy or use dimmers.I am converting a large bedroom into a games room and need to improve the lighting for such games as pool and table tennis.
The room is about 21 ft by 16 ft by 7 ft 6 in high with a satin white ceiling.
I am thinking that striplights are the best answer, but am needing guidance on
(a) how many lights,
(b) how long each one needs to be,
(c) how best to arrange them.
Can anyone give me any help or tell me where else I can look for guidance?
Thank you.
