How do you guys insulate the outside walls when they are constructed like this. I know in warm climates this method of construction is very common as they need no insulation.We have the same kind of house, cinder blocks with furring strips...nothing is easy with this setup. I believe that installation is still fine. When researching it for my house before, the wire needed to be 1 1/2" or so away from the furring strip, so an errant nail would not penetrate the wire.
I bet it gets cold in there with your winters!Our house doesn't have any insulation between the furring strips and drywall...or vapor barrier. It was built in the 1950's. Guess people liked being cold, back then:smile:
