Hi, I am looking to buy a home with a crawl space foundation. The builder put the furnace in the crawl space. It is accessed through a small door in the bottom of a closet for changing the filter and servicing. My question is.. what if something happens that is not fixable and requires a new furnace be installed, how does one get it into the crawl space???
Is there something here I don't get?

Thanks for replying, DangerMouse,,, I have walked around the house several times and don't remember seeing one but then wasn't particularly looking for one either...
Should there be one? Either from the outside or from the attached garage perhaps?
This situation just doesn't make sense to me otherwise, it's not possible that a builder would create a situation like this does it?
Will have to go take a good look before committing, ya think...
