Hello all!

New here replacing our inducer fan on our goodman furnace. I bought a replacement fan off Amazon that replaces the current fan. Question is do I need the flue restrictor plate? The New fan only came with one gasket.. I have currently installed the new fan and it works perfect and no more clankety clank when the fan kicks on... Can I use some kind of high temp RTV to make a gasket if I need to keep the restrictor plate? Thank you for any advice!

If the old one had it, yes.

Your welcome.

The restrictor plate gives it a higher vacuum. Your probably right on the edge without it.
