Hi,

I recently purchased a Fujitsu 12rlfw mini split. I have noticed that it makes cracking noises when the heater or air conditioner is on. It occurs more often when the blower is cycling on and off. Does anyone know if this is a normal noise for a Fujitsu mini split, or should I call my contractor.

Make a video of it, use YouTube to post it, then give us the link. It's probably just thermal expansion, but hard to say without hearing it.

i have a mitsu and a chinese one and they both do some crackling noise. often it is the plastic that does the noise with the thermal expansion of the radiator

I've heard a cracking noise that went on for about 5-10 seconds from a Fujitsu when it was heating up. My mitsubishi will make a single crack every now and then. Just expanding and contracting plastic.
