Fuel oil furnace blower fan

Burner and blower fan won t run with out fan limit switch button in the manual position. Button pulled out auto position. Burner won t run

Was the fan limit switch recently changed. If so. Sounds like the line wire was put on the fan load terminal, instead of the line terminal.
