Hello,
I have a frost proof faucet that when a hose is connected to the faucet and the faucet is open, leaks water inside the house when the sprayer on the end of the hose is not being used.
It does not leak when the faucet is turned off.
I am trying to remove the frost proof faucet and found there is not access to the pipe inside the wall. So I wound up cutting a piece of wall away to get to that pipe. I cannot tell by looking if the old faucet can be unscrewed or if the pipe needs to be cut. I am attaching close up pictures of the joint where the faucet connects to the pipe and a picture of the pipe leading into the house.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I wasn't sure that I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. Glad to see a validation that it was soldered. That explains why I couldn't unscrew it from outside.

I think that I will cut the old one out and put in a new one that can be screwed in and unscrewed if if ever happens again.

I would agree, $10 now on a union makes it easier if ever needed to replace in the future. You should also increase the copper with a 3/4" reducer coupler or buy a 1/2" hydrant so you don't have what they did.
