It's my understanding that I can't run a dry vent horizontal until it's at least 6" above the flood rim of the fixture. It's also my understanding that the standpipe for a washing machine must extend at least 24" above the trap weir and must terminate above the flood rim.

Most examples I find are associated with a top loading washing machine and basically specify that the top of the washing machine or it's drum is the flood rim. What exactly would be the flood rim on a front loading washing machine? I assume it'd be the bottom height of the front loading door?

the extension of the standpipe is more so suds dont flow out the top, the 6 inch above flood line has nothing to do with the machine, its the plumbing in the walls, 6 inches above the stand pipe or a sink... whatever is the highest fixture drain..
