Is this a flush door? Flat on both sides?
What tools do you have? What sort of experience do you have working with a grinder or circular saw?
How big is this insert? Is this a window?
Post a picture if you don't know the type of door you have.

It was easier than I thought...

We got our drill, drilled a hole, inserted the jigsaw in that hole and cut the door. Then we put in the insert and screwed it together .... we are all finished!!
