Hi all,

Tried the SW ProClassic waterborne, having difficulty with brushing and
rolling it. I don't paint very often, would prefer a water-based paint that
is easier to use. I'm not tied to SW, what would you all suggest?

Thanks,

Dave

@cocomonkeynuts,
Sorry, I forgot to ask in the previous post, but does this product have a strong chemical odor and if so, how long does it last?

The oak headboard I made in 2018 and finished with Old Masters poly took almost a month to stop smelling up the bedroom. My wife was not pleased during that time. :biggrin2:

Very little odor even in deep base colors.

I have also become a big fan of general finishes waterborne dyes and stains... great products from GF.

Durapoxy from Kelly Moore. Sticks to oil base without a primer, gets rock hard in no time flat, and applies like a regular latex. Put a capful of extender in it, and it lays down like a dream. Awesome paint when you dont want to go for cabinet coat, advance, or Proclassic. Also very low VOC and very little odor.

Cabinet coat is not that easy to apply, BTW. Its about the same as appying proclassic, but it does dry quicker and has a better recoat time.

kellymoore doesn't exist here. Would like to try it but have to go 300 miles to get any.

cabinetcoat is really easy to work with, lays down like glass just not much open time but a lot of waterbornes are like that without extender.
