You would have to unplug it and defrost it first. Use warm water or hair blower to speed up process.

Then go to repairclinic.com, look up model number and it will list the 4 main causes and how to test the components (click on parts testing). You will need a multimeter for the tests. Click on links below for easy access. Hope you get it figured out soon.

May just need a good defrosting, plug it back in and try again. See if it helped any. If not, you may have to buy new icemaker.

Thanks. Appreciate the quick response.

I have a bi-metal defrost sensor on order at the moment. It was cheap enough.
I kind of figured a sensor failure would be the place to start since neither heater is functioning.
I also replaced the control board last year due to a different issue. Though that does not mean there could not be a new problem.

The ice maker in the freezer is still working properly and the defrost cycle occurs regularly.

Go back to my post, I edited and put another link for icemaker.

Defrost and try it again. If still no good, you may have to replace icemaker. Just a suggestion. Hope you get it figured out soon.

I did. Thank you.

Some more information.
Due to the motor in the ice maker having a cracked housing I have had it turned off for quite a while. The mold wanted to swing but the gears were missing each other. The switches and contacts are still good as well.
I do have a new motor ready for install.
However.
I never had this type of frost build up until relatively recently.

Ran most of the pertinent diagnostic tests.
The EEV test was the only one that failed.
I did not test the heater in the finger evaporator as it requires disassembly to do it correctly.
The heater in the ice mold did work
The thermistors also passed.

Alright guys.
Got it defrosted. And disassembled. disconnected all the harnesses and inspected them.
There was a little corrosion on the EEV. Reassembled
Ran every tests except for the heater in the finger evap. Frige was still to warm.
EEV test passed. :)

Installed the new motor and arm control I had on hand.
Completed the final reassembly.
Turned on the icemaker.

It successfully cycled through once. Dispensed the water. Made one set of cubes which did not drop off the fingers.
The tray moved back to receive more water and it stopped.

Thoughts?
