I have a line on 2 oak French doors but not in the frame, is it more of a hassle to build a frame or get one built?

Interior or exterior?? If exterior, forget it. Get a prehung door from Andersen or Eagle(Andersens answer to Marvin). For interior, fab or have made, jambs to fit. If you have the tools and skills, DIY is always cheaper, and you can add features you want.
