both those guns are ok for light use but definitely not designed for production work

i have the older rigid gun and it struggles to sink spikes into engineered lumber and to keep up when bounce firing

the dewalt is nothing more than bostich's cheapest model framing gun from 2 or 3 years ago. except for the cordless nailers that dewalt makes all of their air nailers are actually rebranded and whats worse their price tag is marked up too

You could buy a name brand nailer like a senco and come out better in the long run. Years down the road when you need service you might not be able to get it repaired or get parts with the two you are looking at. I just dropped off my 24 year old duofast to get repaired. You could probably get them for the same amount of money or less.

Or you can pick up a harbor freight 21 degree full head for about $64.00 bucks with a 20% off coupon.
I've got one. I've only run about 2 1/2 boxes of nails through it but so far so good. If OP only needs it for light duty/occasional use I'd recommend it for the price.

i would never pick up a cheap nailer like that.. theres too much risk of somethng going wrong with that junk. someone i know bought something like that after running about 10 racks of spikes through it the magazine fell off, ive also seen cheap guns shoot the nails out the side of them

No risk there, they have a VERY good return policy, anything happens in the 1 year warranty, return for a full refund.
