guys - i'm building a shower, with one of those glass frameless doors. How do I make sure it has enough support to open/close without falling off? A standard piece of 2"x4", nailed in like a stud where the hinges are expected to be? How about a piece of 4"x4" instead - greater strength and a bit more flexibility on hinge placement?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

ok! :)

I assume I mount the 4x4 as a 2x4 (first time doing this!) - 2 nails on one side, one on the other, 60 degree angle, top and bottom? Does it need any other support, or just framing it into a wall like this be ok?
