I happen to own a backhoe and was considering excavation.

Can anyone point me to a resource to explain what I should do?

Was thinking about complete excavation, membrane with polymer, backfill with gravel

Are you wanting to dig just because you have backhoe?

What is the problem that you want to solve or correct?

You should first find out the cause of the cracks and if the foundation can be corrected. If you don't do that, you could end up removing the foundation on the same location and have it happen again because the site/location was the problem.

what kind of walls do you have - cmu or conc ? size of footer, amt of rebar, soil type, etc,,, or just dig cause its yours but i wouldn't if it were mine :no:
