Hi,
You guys were helping me with a dripping bathroom faucet. I turned "only" the hot water valve off last night and have been using the cold water as it was the hot water that was dripping.

I just noticed the bottom of the cabinet in the sink is soaked with water? Why is this? I cannot detect where the water is coming from?

could be the shutoff is leaking a bit. they sometimes do that when they havent been turned for a while. try shutting it off and on a time or two and see if it stops. And occasionally just by tightening the nut holding the shutoff stem by just a little bit will also stop it. If not, it's time for a new shutoff.(that is if the shutoff it what's leaking, but it's a good place to start looking.)

edit: Joe types with more than two fingers, he beat me to it.

There was a lot of water :( and the kicker is the dripping stopped. So it must be intermittent - hence the stain in the sink. I'm not sure how a minor leak at the valve could have leaked that much water in less than 24 hours.
