Hello I just started my foamboard insulation on bsmt walls. my question is should I cut it up to the ceing but if I do that it leaves a opening bit that's where the drop celing would go.so does space matter or should I cut it to fit between rim joists? Here are some pic

Seal between the sill plate and the concrete as well.

I would cut it fit in the rims and and do additional sealing. You may need to run something out the wall through the rim and running the foam up the wall just makes that a dead space of sorts.

Looking good so far!!

Thank you.. the cement wall comes off the sill plate about 2inchs so could I install a 2x4 pressure treated to come up even on the wall but then there would be a little space so would that be ok?

One wall done. Happy with the way it came out just didn't go all the way by the oil tank. I'm closing it off anyway so do I need to go all the way?
