Fluorescent lamps no balast instalation

Is there a way to install fluorecent lamp without balast

Yes...you can install tube type lamps without a ballast...but they won't light.

You can install CFL type lamps in a regular socket and they will work because the ballast is integral to the lamp.

NO !
you cannot use a regular floro tube with out a ballast !
It is needed for 2 x reasons.
1 - start up the tube.
2 - regulate currant thru tube once started.

So no ballast = no start.
If for some miracule it did start,
it would quickly burn out with out
ballast to regulate currant.
