i am looking into making my wood floors look new or at least spot free if possible . any one know what to use ?:eek: we had a professional re do our living room floors and cant afford the bedroom one. so i was wondering if their any advice any one could offer.

If you haven't done it before, I would recommend you rent a random orbital floor sander. They are easier to control, less likely to dig into the floor and almost eliminates the need for an edge sander. Go through the grits, vacuum between sanding, vacuum and tack cloth, when done. Apply stain following directions, tack cloth when dry and apply a good self leveling poly like Old Masters brand.
