Hi, I'm new on the site, and boy do I need HELP!!!
I have removed carpet from a room and found beautiful hard wood flooring. Now I need help in knowing how to remove the carpet tape that is around the edges... Dry, brittle, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, DR:(

I am assuming that it doesnt just "peel up" easily...Never encountered this before, as all the carpet I have ever pulled up was secured with "tack strip"..... Is it indoor/outdoor carpet that you pulled up? I removed some of that once and it had tape and it came up easily...
Maybe try a little water and a putty knife?

Thanks for the hlep. I did find a putty knife worked, and I put my hair dryer close to where I was working on the tape. It softened it just enough to keep a slow pull... Finally got it .:) Thanks again.
