I am removing ceramic tile in my kitchen and dining room and replacing it with peel and stick 18" vinyl tiles and grouting them. The kitchen went without any issues....there was only plywood under the ceramic tiles( which explains why the tiles were cracking) . The dining room however has backerboard under it and is causing some issues and I dont know how to proceed to prep the floor for the vinyl tiles. attached is what the backerboard is looking like. any help as to what we should do would be great.
