Floor Trimming

:help:I am experiencing a year-long renovation nightmare which has been worked on by 3 different, inept construction workers. The first one laid ceramic tile over ceramic tile which has raised the kitchen floor 2+ inches higher than the wood floor leading to the livingroom area. I have tried a number of options including quarter round, half round, rubber tiling, ceramic trim and have been unable to properly 'fit' and trim this space between the kitchen and livingroom floor. Any ideas would be so greatlyfully appreciated.
